The Paleo Diet is a diet born out of over 20 years of evidence-based, scientific research looking at the healthiest humans on planet Earth and how they eat.  “Paleo Diet” is a misnomer, it is not a diet at all, it is a lifestyle.  I would go even further and call it a law, a universal law of nutrition.

 Many people begin a high-intensity exercise program and expect to see their body-weight on the scale drop.  With people who have been relatively sedentary or have been working out at low-intensity, often the drop in body-weight will be relatively small. This small change on the scale is the result of an increase in muscle mass coupled with a decrease in body fat.

Hydration in the Heat

The hydration needs of a first-time CrossFitter do not differ from the hydration needs of a seasoned Olympic athlete. As the weather heats up, it is important to be properly hydrated for your workouts as dehydration can impair performance, inhibit fat loss and muscle building, and significantly increase recovery time. At only 2% dehydration you will experience a 4% decrease in performance.
